Pensioners and first-home buyers entering Victoria’s property market may be eligible for the duty reductions, concessions and exemptions we administer.
This year a record number of Victorians from both metropolitan Melbourne and regional areas applied for assistance, reflecting our focus on delivering efficient and prompt customer service.
Since 2011, we have administered the equivalent of about $600 million in duty reductions to 105,000 first-home buyers across the state. This includes almost half a billion dollars to 81,500 Melbourne recipients, and a further $93 million to 23,000 recipients in regional Victoria.
